Is Annulment fair in the Philippines?

I read in the daily Newspaper, I read it in Internet Social networking, I saw it on TV, I heard it from the Radio station, I heard it from my Officemates and friends about the popular big star in the film industries that her Marriage is officially Annulled now to her husband. The popular basketball player in PBA also annulled now to his Wife. Another big star is annulled now to his/her 1st, 2nd, 3rd wives/husband again. The rich politicians is annulled, the rich businessman is annulled on his/her marriage. Either you are a big star, politician, rich businessman, or from a rich family roots Annulment is just that simple for them to throw their Marriage away.

Seems like it is simple for these high powered Folks to purchase expensive stuff like, condominiums, expensive Mercedes Benz, expensive mansions, name it baby and I will give it to you, everything just name it!
Seems like for them Marriage is a Contract to their Employer, that once it is expired they can find easily another new employer when they don’t like the rules on it. Or maybe there will be more good benefits in the other Employer than their earlier Employer, or they just wanted a change. As easy as those are also vanished in just a blink of an eye! Annulment is very easy for them in order to break the promised of the “till death do us part.”

The reasons are, it’s because as they said they betrayed me, become unfaithful, lied to me, and more crap, to say no more Love to me. And because of this I would like to pursue an annulment right this minute.

 This morning I talked to my friend Yen-Yen. I just wonder I haven’t seen her Father go home. She said her father is working abroad. But it wonders me why her father has another Child from outside and her Mother has another Man living with her? I just wonder! It’s not my business though! But it made me wonder. My friend told me that her Parents are separated long time ago. I said okay! That’s why both of them had a new Family now? My friend responded “Yes but not really”. Now I’m confused wait a minute my friend. Explain to me slowly I’m kind of lost now; my brain is not catching it up. Your parents are long time ago separated and each had their new Lovers. But you said their not really separated! What do you mean?
 

Yen-Yen stated that her Parents are long separated by Bed, by their House, in short Divorce or Annulment. By her Parents thoughts only and beliefs! But if we talked about Divorce or Annulment is a legal way, well it’s not like that. I found out why?  

In Annulment your talking big bucks!

It’s because it’s expensive for Yen-Yen’s Parents to file the Annulment papers and there will be tons of documentation to produced, and most especially time and efforts are also contributing on it.

Now another thing that baffled me was, why is this big star, rich, and famous folks get this Annulment approval straight away?

In less than a year why their each Marriage became rejected, void right away?

 What are the procedures that this famous folks does in order to attain the Marriage null and void?

As what I’m aware of, the reason of this Famous folks wanted an Annulment to their partners are also identical to my friend Yen-Yen’s parents. So why Yen-Yen parents are having dilemma on getting this legal Annulment like this Rich folks does?

What are the differences for this?

I feel sorry for what my friend feelings and to her siblings. Yen-Yen told me that she already accepted the fact that her parents are long broke-up. But the center of her thoughts are the optimistically that hopefully her parents established this legal way of separation or annulment, so her both parents can Married to their new partner or shall I say new Love to their each heart. And most essential is to grant the family name of Yen-Yen’s Half-sister the Daughter of her Father from the second partner.

In USA United States of America. Divorce is open to everybody from Rich to Poor, Famous or not. There is no ideal to meet up just to reach the word Divorce either you are Rich or Poor. Actually it doesn’t matter. It’s just become tougher when there are Children or Kids involved on it, or properties and wealth that needs to be divided, which, what, who belongs to, HOY! But once it settled everything, then no reason to take the case so long.

Why the Philippines can’t do the same thing to make it easier for everybody especially to the Poor community like Yen-Yen’s Parents.   Opps ahh ohhh! I can see the smoke on your nose right now! You’re saying Filipinos are not like Americans! Right? That whenever the Americans undergoing to Divorce, is very easy for them to summarize and get what they wanted right away, and then divorce paper is ready right after a few weeks, few months or a year depending the status.

Now what do you think the Famous, Rich, Big Stars, Politicians, businessman in the Philippines are doing? They can file the annulment on their each Marriage right away in just a blink on their eye. Do you think it is fear to the Poor’s Community? Like Yen-Yen’s Parents? Hey please wake up do the right thing by building this Annulment open to everybody in the Philippines. Now you’re might saying it’s not the Rich and Famous fault that they can afford to this Annulment cases. Okay you got there right my friend! But what I’m saying is it should be the same process and be fair to the Poor too. Why is it not that easy for the Poor to undergo the Annulment like what the Rich and famous do!

My friend, if ever Annulment in the Philippines will be as easy as it is for the Rich and Famous, I bet there will be fewer illegitimate Children, less adultery cases, fewer Children like Yen-Yen experienced who suffered from the emotion of embarrassment, ashamedness, and received humiliation from her fellowman because of her Parents are illegally separated. The case of abortion and abandoned babies in the Philippines would be less because its parties wouldn’t need to hide the fruits of their love sin, and no more regrets which force them to do such unforgiving sin. No more the ashamedness anymore or no more this fearful feelings to their selves thinking that maybe the Wife or Husband found their secrets sin that they are having an relationship aside to their partners.

Again my friend, one thing that makes me laugh is when some of my co-Filipinos or some People said this. “I don’t want to get married in the Philippines because there is no Divorce unlike in

USA, Canada, Europe, Australia and some certain Countries that open for divorce.” And says that their just being practical on a worse case scenario. You know what? What is your Meaning this “ANNULMENT”? Isn’t it Annulment is a dictionary for separation of the marriage, a dictionary to make the Marriage null and void in a legal way, or in the other words “similar to DIVORCE”.  My friend please stop saying that there is no Divorce in the Philippines because you know what People who really understand the word between Annulment and Divorce are laughing hard at you. Divorced or Annulment and the Marriage is dissolved. Better you’ll spread the word and state that Annulment is hard to attain for those poor People in the Philippines because they hardly afford on it.

Again my point to this article is to push through the Annulment in the Philippines to be openly to everybody not just to the Big Star, Famous, Rich, Politicians, and Businessman but also most properly to the Poor Community, Poor Family, Poor People that hardly afford to pay the Lawyer, or hardly can afford to endure all the cost of their Annulment case.  In order for this Poor People to live their lives in a legal way without hesitation, uncomfortable, embarrassment emotions, and to avoid the horrible humiliation treatment from their neighborhood through the children that should not be included in the negative judgments because of the wrong doing of the each Parents.
